Liberty Eagle Academy: A Montessori Education is Hiring an Assistant Montessori Teacher Near Carrollton, GA

Liberty Eagle Academy is searching for a reliable, trustworthy, and innovative Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our Toddler Program. The Assistant Teacher’s responsibilities include assisting Lead Teacher with developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills, assessing children’s individual needs. Assistant Teacher should communicate with Lead, Administration, and other communities as required. You should be able to create a nurturing, stimulating classroom where every child feels included.

To be successful as a Montessori Assistant Teacher, you should be a lifelong learner who inspires a love for learning in your students. Outstanding candidates are able to embrace creativity and independence, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a positive attitude. Candidates should be consistent, dedicated, and willing to put in the hard work and effort it takes to lead a Montessori classroom.

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains a safe, clean, stimulating environment, observes behaviors, models grace and courtesy, preserves and protects lessons, and assists in the development of independence
  • Establishing rapport and building relationships with students based on trust.
  • Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
  • Ensuring children are signed into center daily.
  • Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
  • Participating in some school activities including after school events.
  • Maintain horizontal communication with Lead Teacher and other teachers within community.
  • Assist the Lead Teacher with daily tasks such as meal prep, cleaning, organizing, laundering, diapering, maintaining children’s feeding and sleep schedule, etc.
  • Assist with the production/preparation of instructional materials, maintenance/change of classroom, Meet & Greets, Parent Teacher Conferences, etc.
  • Implement strategies and plans based on Lead Teacher classroom or individual goals.

Montessori Teacher Requirements:

  • Degree in Early Childhood Teaching, Education, or a related study is preferred.
  • Montessori certified or relevant experience in a Montessori environment is preferred.
  • Willing to complete Montessori training sponsorship if requested.
  • An ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
  • Patience and excellent observational, communication, and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Maintain certifications (CPR, First Aid, Health & Safety, etc.)
  • Be physically capable of bending, squatting, standing on feet throughout day, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Continued professional development (minimum 10 hours Bright from the Start approved).
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Have a firm commitment to uphold the school’s mission and vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour
