Position: Tax Preparer
Locations: 2 positions in Bay City, MI
Hours: 30-40 hours per week (flexible scheduling available)
Duration: End of December 2024 through April 15th, 2025 (Temporary Position)
Responsibilities:
- Successfully complete training and certification tests to prepare tax returns.
- Have, or be able to attain, a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) through the IRS.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients seeking tax assistance.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure accurate and timely tax preparations.
- Utilize your attention to detail to identify potential deductions and credits for clients.
Qualifications:
- 1 year tax office experience preferred; paid training will be provided.
- Previous tax preparation or tax knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to obtain a PTIN through the IRS.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be dedicated to maintaining client confidentiality.
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience. Bonus at the end of the tax season.
