Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team as Torchie, the Liberty Tax Mascot. The ideal candidate will embody the spirit of our brand, engaging with audiences of all ages, particularly children, at various events and functions. This role requires a combination of performance skills, creativity, and a passion for entertaining while promoting our mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the mascot at events, parades, and community functions to engage with attendees and create a fun atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with children and families, using gestures and body language to convey messages and entertain.
• Dance and perform skits to captivate audiences while maintaining high energy levels throughout events.
• Educate attendees about our organization’s goals and initiatives in an engaging manner.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure seamless participation in scheduled activities.
• Maintain the mascot costume in good condition, ensuring cleanliness and proper storage after each event.
• Participate in promotional activities that may include public speaking engagements or appearances.

Qualifications

• Desire to work outside during tax season (winter).
• Background in theater or performing arts is a plus; experience in dance is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
• A positive attitude, creativity, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
• Must be comfortable wearing a mascot costume for extended periods.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
