Summary
JOB SUMMARY: Performs administrative duties as part of the IS support team. Demonstrates ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Continually improves technical competency by self initiated study and completing appropriate courses, classes and workshops to enhance technical and professional skills. Communicates regularly with management regarding status of projects and outstanding issues. Recommends and supports initiatives designed to enhance work processes and improve service levels. Performs duties to help ensure a reliable and stable information systems environment. Formulates system scope and objectives. Teams with customers in analyzing system performance and functionality. Leads in the formulation of test scripts/plans. Executes test scripts/plans with clearly documented outcomes. Demonstrates ability to interpret and advise on outcomes. Leads IS to provide customers with ever-improving support for their use of technology. Troubleshoots issues, working with internal/external customers and vendor(s). Provides training on information systems. Effectively communicates the status of issues to the customer, staff and leadership. Maintains a productive relationship with vendor(s); is able to report an issue and manage until closed. Provides clear and concise written communication of work. Develops and maintains IS standard project management documents. Provides manager documentation of accomplishments on a monthly basis. Develops best practice standards and procedures. Maintains and develops information's systems. Prepares specifications to write code. Test, debugs, documents and maintains code. Applies patches/fixes. Recommends best platform and programming language/toolset for projects.
Requirements:
- Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree preferred; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
- 3-5 years related experience
