Overview
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Medical Collections Specialist (Accounts Receivable Representative) is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to claims processing. The Patient Account Representative also contacts patients and responsible parties to resolve past-due accounts, investigate account statuses, and initiate collection.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent computer skills, 10 key by touch, filing and typing proficiency, familiarity with CPT-4 and ICD-10 coding.
