Activities Director – Leadership
Location: Bad Axe, MI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 8-hour shifts
Shift Type: Days
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate a comprehensive activities program.
- Complete or delegate the activities portion of resident assessments and care plans.
- Schedule and manage a variety of group and individual activities seven days per week.
- Organize recreational, cultural, educational, and arts & crafts programs.
- Tailor activities to meet each resident’s unique needs and preferences.
- Plan at least one daily individual activity for residents unable/unwilling to join group events.
- Oversee transportation arrangements for residents to social activities inside and outside the facility.
- Monitor and adjust programs based on resident participation and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, including 1 year full-time in a therapeutic activities program (Required).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
- College Degree in a related field (Preferred).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $33.08 - $38.03 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
