RN PCU

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care (Stepdown) | Day Shift

Location: Yuma, AZ, 85364

Job Type: Contract | 36 hours/week

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU setting with a cardiac focus.
• Manage and titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Heparin, Nitro, and Insulin.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; tele experience required (dedicated monitor tech available).
• Care for a variety of patients including those with CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacemakers, TAVR, CABG (day 2), and post-cath procedures.
• Manage general PCU overflow including respiratory failure, sepsis, post-surgical cases, and more.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in floating to ICU (within patient population) and Med-Surg units as needed.
• Follow hospital protocols for trauma level 2 care.

Requirements:

• License: Active RN license (License to submit required)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry nursing
• BLS (AHA or APEX) – Required
• ACLS (AHA or APEX) – Required
• NIHSS (AHA or APEX) – Required
• Charting System: Experience with EPIC preferred
• Driver’s license required; must live 100 miles from Yuma, AZ 85364.

Pay: $2,298.00 - $2,888.00 per week
