Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Painter to join our team at In this role, you will be responsible for painting parts to meet MIL-SPEC, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. Your tasks will include surface preparation, coating application, and ensuring precise adherence to required thickness and specifications for each layer.

Your tasks will include surface preparation, coating application, and ensuring precise adherence to required thickness and specifications for each layer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare parts manually, using steam, or chemical treatments.
- Set up and maintain spray painting equipment, including HVLP paint guns, paint mixers, and thickness gauges.
- Mix and apply finishes (polyurethanes, epoxy, lacquers, clears) to meet specific thickness requirements.
- Follow internal and customer specifications to mask and paint parts.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of paint, primer, solvents, and related materials.
- Conduct equipment maintenance and complete all work order tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Diagnose and correct common paint issues (e.g., solvent pops, orange peel).
- Comply with Federal, State, and local safety regulations (including VOC standards) and maintain OSHA compliance.
Job Qualifications:
- 2 years of spray painting experience, ideally with MIL-spec familiarity.
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications.
- Experience with paint mixing and coating applications.
- U.S. Citizenship required for compliance with defense industry standards.
