What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaning Staff position at Ligonier Valley YMCA?
Responsibilities:
- Perform general custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials properly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings or events
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of assigned duties
- Flexibility to work evenings.
