Position: Board Relations Manager
Department: Advancement and Innovation
Role Overview: The Board Relations Manager will work with the Director of Board Relations to deliver a highly engaging, fulfilling, and impactful experience for all members of the Lincoln Center Board of Directors. This role will provide support in the following key areas: administrative coordination and logistical planning, data tracking and record retention, meeting management, and Board engagement and communications (both at the individual Director level and the collective Board).
What you’ll get to do here:
- Coordinate and execute Lincoln Center’s full Board and Committee meetings, which will take place as a hybrid, in-person and remote
- Manage and streamline the process around all Board and Committee meetings, including preparation and all follow-ups
- Plan and support solicitation, tracking, and acknowledgments of all board pledges & gifts: ensure timely solicitation and follow ups, including invoicing, acknowledgments, and compiling reports requested for Board-related gifts
- Strategize and execute ongoing individual and collective Board member communications
- Keep the web-based Board portal up to date
- Research and maintain up-to-date demographic and other useful information on all current Board Members for outreach purposes
- Manage Board-related metrics (board and committee meeting attendance and participation, engagement metrics, etc.)
- Draft briefings for leadership meetings with Board members
- Plan Board member onboarding and orientation
- Maintain accurate and organized records
- Assist the Executive Office with such other duties and responsibilities as are reasonably related to the duties and responsibilities listed above
You'll be a fit if you bring:
- Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years relevant experience in a nonprofit role required, or equivalent years of work experience (Master's Degree preferred)
- Prior experience and direct interaction with boards, donors, senior-level management
- Knowledge of and experience with nonprofit governance
- Research-savvy; internet and resource proficient
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail in all matters
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise a high level of professionalism, judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Ability to coordinate multiple, unrelated details and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed
- Enthusiasm for the performing arts
