What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Winter Shelter Aid - PTNB position at Lincoln County?
We are gearing up for our second year of providing a safe and warm space to some of our most vulnerable community members during the most difficult season of the year. We are looking to add passionate and dynamic people to staff the shelter through the season.
LEAD WINTER SHELTER AIDE - PART TIME, NON-BENEFITTED
The people in this role will help assist in the oversight of routine activities of shelter guests and monitor the safety and security of the facility. These leadership roles will also include additional responsibilities that include working collaboratively with Supervisors or Managers in assigning work, training to policies and procedures, leading team in quality improvement and quality assurance projects, and motivating and supporting the Winter Shelter Aide Team!
The shelter is planned to open in October to early November.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Level
High School / GED
Minimum Experience Level
Specifics: One year of work experience with disadvantaged/disenfranchised populations that includes exposure to individuals who are unhoused.
Substitution Note: Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties.
Driver’s License
Oregon Driver's License required
Specifics: Ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Desirable Qualifications: Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are preferred.
Job Conditions: Working hours may vary. Evening and weekend schedules are required in accordance with facility hours of operation. Position involves exposure to people with a wide variety of needs and may involve exposure to individuals in crisis.
Work Location: Lincoln County
Travel: Occasional travel throughout Lincoln County to assist guests in meeting their needs as assigned.

All successful candidates must pass a background check through Lincoln County Human resources and complete orientation and training before they can begin working.
