What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales position at Lincoln Davies Building Supply?
Summary:
Our Counter Sales associates are responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, maintenance, restocking and more in the main store and storage area(s). Our Sales team will intercept phone calls, build quotes and orders for pick up or delivery and assist with all customers’ needs as they enter the store. An associate that is comfortable engaging in face to face, phone, and electronic sales while utilizing exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed company sales and margin goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Identify the needs of incoming customers both walk-in and on the phone.
- Sales Expectations - be proficient in POS and special ordering process
- Understand the marketplace - Talk with vendor Reps. when they enter the store, ask questions about their product offerings to create rapport.
- Effectively suggest and upgrade selling to create add on sales
- Quote follow up - quote to order conversion
- Share expertise with others
- Meet and or exceed individual sales and margin goals
Receiving
- Know and follow accepted receiving practices
- Prepare for and unload incoming product efficiently
- Effectively report receiving variances to the appropriate person
- Other Duties May Be Assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
