Job Title: Technical Communicator
Reports To: General Manager, Technical Services
Job Summary:
Resolve product problems on behalf of technicians and customers including but not limited to contacting
manufacturer representatives when necessary.
Responsibilities:
· Assist Service Departments by providing diagnostic testing and evaluation
· Conduct weekly Service Issue conference calls, maintaining a database to include resolution of issues
· Primary contact with manufacturers on technical issues
· Collect, interpret and communicate data to resolve technical issues
· File Technical Service Requests (TSR) and Technical Service Information (TSI)
· Follow up with internal or external customer to ensure issues have been resolved
· Attend 160 hours of training annually to ensure up-to-date information on new equipment and
technology
· Other functions and responsibilities as directed by senior management
Education/Experience/Skill:
· Two years experience with Komatsu products
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft software, Komatsu Extranet and other technical information programs
to include but not limited to KOMTRAX and Cummins Quickserve
· Knowledge of Komatsu and Wirtgen products to include specifications, applications, operation ,
maintenance, structure/function, testing/adjusting, repair
