Currently we have an Accounting Specialist role open on 1st shift . The Accounting Specialist will coordinate and facilitate efficient payment processing which includes monitoring AP productivity, problem resolution, and training the AP clerks. Administer the PNC Purchasing card / travel system and facilitate the Finance Record Retention Policy. This position will also provide general accounting functions.
Essential functions of the position include :
- Train and coordinate work of A / P clerks. Ensuring established A / P procedures and processes are performed
- Electronically download bank daily cash report. Audit for accuracy and record all disbursement and cash receipts
- Perform daily electronic payments in the form of ACH's and / or wire transfers to various companies
- Control and reconcile the petty cash account
- Process all invoices to be paid in a foreign currency. This includes calculating the currency variance and the purchase price variance on each invoice
- Perform reconciliations, analysis and maintenance on assigned accounts
- Maintain monthly expenses on legal professional fees, rental car fees, dues and contributions and donations
- Administrator for finance record retention
- Administrator of PNC purchasing card / vendor card program
- Participate in other duties or special projects as assigned
