The Maintenance Technician supports Production departments, both Sewing Department and Cut Line Department, by repairing and maintaining all production machinery at the Dayton plant, including coordinating with outside vendors as needed. Calibrate machines or devices as scheduled and maintain calibration records. Perform basic facility maintenance tasks or coordinate with outside vendors as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other Maintenance Team Members to ensure that maintenance operations are performed safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
- Effectively manage production floor maintenance issues including machine breakdowns.
- Manage machine spare parts inventory.
- Perform facility and equipment shift startup/shutdown tasks as assigned.
- Relocate machines within the facility as required.
- Participate on site Safety Committee if assigned.
- Always follow LION health and safety rules and procedures.
- Repair, modify, adjust, and calibrate production machinery in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Test equipment after repairs have been made.
- Complete basic facility maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to work independently in locating required parts and services.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards for Maintenance supplies and tools.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
- Complete required Preventive Maintenance tasks and maintain proper documentation.
- Utilize external vendors and resources when necessary, exercising discretion on when to delegate work externally.
- Occasionally operate forklift or scissor lift to perform job functions.
- Assume additional responsibilities; perform additional duties, and complete special projects as assigned.
