Facility Maintenance Specialist
 
POSITION SUMMARY
Individual is responsible for the maintenance/repair and minor installations of electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, environmental controls, roofing, pavement, irrigation systems, lighting, walls, counters, wall coverings, cabinetry, flooring, exterior of buildings, and RV’s.  Ability to work on HVAC equipment, perform is a plus.  Individual assists facility manager with bids, budgets, project management, contract management, and contractor supervision. Individual must also be able to provide professional and compassionate care during patient transportation needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Individual would be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and environmental control systems at all sites.
  • Individual would be responsible for the installation and repair of cabinetry, walls, porches/walkways, interior windows, shelving, counters, ceiling grids, ceramic/VCT tile, vinyl flooring, carpet, wallpaper, paint, doors, door/cabinet hardware, gutter systems, electrical/mechanical door closures, lighting, ballasts, switches/outlets, exhaust fans, conduit, intercoms, electrical strikes, plumbing, toilets, sinks and other facility items as needed.  
  • Individual would be responsible minor roof, pavement, irrigation, landscape, and laminate repair.  
  • Individual would be responsible for maintenance and repair of all facility equipment/tools.
  • Individual is responsible for exterior cleaning and sealing of facilities including windows, walkways, patios, parking areas.  
  • Individual performs preventive maintenance, orders/manages facility supplies, obtains bids, manages and inspects contracted work. 
  • Individual constructs facility items, assembles furniture/medical equipment, and hangs approved items. 
  • Assists with setup/teardown of meetings and events.  Individual assists with storage management and moving items from site to site.  
  • Individual assists housekeeping, transportation and other departments as needed. 
  • Assist facility manager with all aspects of facility maintenance including budgets and contract management.
  • Individual will troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/​or implement savings opportunities. 
  • Individual is responsible to comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives as related to building operations.  
  • Managing emergency response tasks in emergencies such as power outages, weather related emergencies, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to provide professional and compassionate care when transporting patients.

  • Ability to provide confidentiality of patient information and relays information to only employees that need to know.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed while staying on course with overall company objectives.
  • Must successfully complete the company's new hire orientation and training.
  • Must meet requirements of company vehicle policy. 
  • Must be approved by insurance company after submitting a 10 year DMV driving record
  • Must pass a background check issued by LRMC. 
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
  • Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize multiple projects, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
  • Travel to all sites on demand
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Communicate effectively and work well with others
  • Flexible schedule including nights or weekends
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Able to read blue prints and assembly instructions
  • Technical, vocational training in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Knowledge of all codes, regulations related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Construction
  • Ability to drive and utilize personal vehicle for work purposes
  • Ability to drive and utilize LRMC vehicle
  • Be available as needed during severe storms when safe to do so.
  • Welding and HVAC experience is a plus
