Little Tulip Day Care Center of Williston Park is Hiring a Part-time Teacher Assistant Near Williston Park, NY

Little Tulip Daycare Center is looking for qualified PART TIME Assistant Teacher for our toddler classroom. An Toddler Teacher Assistant will provide a nurturing and safe environment for young children to develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgment in the care and play with each child assigned to you. You will verbally engage the children throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities.

Job Schedule

Monday to Friday from 2:00 am to 6:00 pm

Responsibilities for Infant Teacher Assistant

  • Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in care
  • Assist children with activities of daily life (nap, diapering, bathroom, hand washing, feeding, etc.)
  • Assist lead teacher to plan and carry out activities for a group of children
  • Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all time
  • Be responsible for daily sheets and the daily activities pertaining to eating, sleeping, diaper changing, and other reporting as necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom for children
  • Report accidents, illness, and unusual behavior to the program director
  • Participate in other job duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience working with infant / young children
  • Be in good health, this will be documented on a Medical Statement provided by NYS OCFS and completed by a medical professional
  • Be cleared through background checks required by OCFS: SCR clearance, criminal history review, and fingerprinting
  • Provide names and contact information for three references
  • Certification in infant/child CPR
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
  • Meet annual professional development requirements, per OCFS regulations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
