What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt position at Loch Harbour Group Inc?
We are seeking a highly experienced Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor Lean Six Sigma practitioners across multiple projects. The role involves working closely with government agencies, organizational stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements aligned with strategic objectives.
Location: Remote (Must reside within commuting distance of Washington, DC)
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and certify Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt candidates on process improvement projects. Lead the development and delivery of Lean Six Sigma training, including Yellow Belt and applied facilitation courses.
- Support the implementation of continual process improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints.
- Facilitate strategic improvement initiatives and process development sessions with stakeholders. Develop and maintain training materials, including curriculum, printed materials, and presentations.
- Ensure alignment of process improvement efforts with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct advanced data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and assess project outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams to implement recommendations and track the impact of process improvements.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Business Management, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Certification Requirements:
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt by a recognized certifying authority
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma projects, post-certification.
Key Competencies:
- Proficiency in advanced Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies, including Theory of Constraints.
- Expertise in planning and facilitating improvement workshops and strategic sessions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong skills in technical data analysis, research, and regulatory interpretation.
- Ability to develop and implement performance management systems and metrics.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Coast Guard-specific business and operational requirements.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online functionality and workflow development.
