We are looking for a team-oriented Administrative Assistant with exceptional organizational skills to provide administrative support to a Program Management Director and their staff located at the Huntsville, AL facility. This position requires a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant that will perform a wide range of administrative functions, including integrating with other administrative assistants across the program.
The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written with the ability to work well with all levels of internal and external management and staff members. In this role you must have willingness to assume increasing levels or responsibilities and have a strong desire for professional continued self-improvement. This position requires the successful candidate to have a professional demeanor, be well-spoken, efficient, and polished.
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Performing normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files, maintaining calendars, provide phone coverage, interviewing callers and making proper referrals, arranging and support on-site and off-site meetings to include video teleconferences and Skype meetings, conferences, and associated catering
• Arranging travel plans for assigned group and preparing expense reports
• Receiving, referring and answering mail
• Coordinating and ordering office supplies
• Coordinating and supporting requests for new employee onboarding office equipment, department office space and providing network access and phones
• PowerPoint chart/agenda production and reproduction
• Maintaining team rosters and organizational charts
• Supporting morale and diversity events within the facility
• providing backup and fill-in for the site director's administrative assistant during absences.
• Supporting customer relations and interfacing including customer visits and meetings, setup of meetings, and coordination of badge access and visit requests with LM Security.
Basic Qualifications:
• Previous Administrative Assistant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience managing emails, calendars, and schedules.
• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• At least three years of administrative office or related experience.
• Experience setting up, coordinating and running telecom meetings via Skype
• Experience with Concur expense reporting tool
• Experience with Lockheed Martin administrative systems and processes including LM Procure to Pay (P2P) system
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a diverse team environment
• Effective time management skills, ability to organize and prioritize work assignments, and attention to detail
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
