Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Warehouse Drop Program Clerk to manage our drop program in our Wilmer, TX warehouse. This role involves overseeing the efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Drop Program Management:
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule daily pickups and deliveries.
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying quantities and conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking numbers, dates, and delivery confirmations.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the shipping process.
- Inventory Control:
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping:
- Accurately input shipment information into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Generate reports on shipping activity, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files and records.
- General Warehouse Duties:
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as packing, labeling, and loading/unloading trucks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). CargoWise experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse required, preferably with experience managing a drop program.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
