Job Description
Job Summary:
The Field Operative Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire field ops team. They will act as a backup and or support to all other field operations positions. The FOM will communicate with the project management team to ensure that all projects are being completed properly and to the expectations of the management team. It will be the FOMs responsibility to ensure that the entire team is aware of the expectations of management while staying in the guidelines of Logisticus’ Purpose, Vision, and Core Values.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises Field Operations Coordinator.
Indirectly supervises Field Operatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Is committed to the company’s Purpose, Vision and Core Values.
- Primary contact for the FO Coordinator for problem solving and resolutions.
- Acts as Backup to the FO Coordinator during their absence.
- Accountable for ensuring that field personnel are trained to the highest possible standards and with enough bench strength to ensure that there is no single point of failure at any point in the team.
- Collaborates with Project Managers on award of projects to ensure accurate allocation of Field Operative staff to support the Project schedule.
- Supports the FO Coordinator with Resource Management.
- Provide feedback on forecasted resource demand to ensure projects are staffed appropriately and executed efficiently and safely.
- Supports project site visits to collect all pre-project data to identify, understand and mitigate project risk areas.
- Conducts frequent project audits.
- Ensures that staff are assigned based on skills, experience, efficiency, cost, and work scope.
- Provides guidance and ensures Field Operatives are adhering to all LPG and Customer procedures and protocols.
- Performs final vetting of potential Field Operative recruits. Supports hiring and interview process Perform initial review and vetting of resumes received by potential recruits.
- Monitor and manage employee morale to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with development, reviews and approval of Field Operative’s SMART Goals & Objectives.
- Performs and/or encourages the use of the Behavior Based Observation program.
- Participates in Root Cause/Apparent Cause investigations.
- Attends regularly scheduled Commercial and Project meetings.
- Attends Project Closeout meetings.
- Attends CRC meetings as scheduled.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
- Ability to utilize the Company’s preferred and paid for method of travel – flights & rental cars.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Ability to use an assigned laptop and utilize Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
- Prior supervision or management experience highly desired.
- Previous Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience highly desired.
- Maintain the required minimum certifications listed below:
- OSHA 10 / 30
- Fire Prevention & Planning
- Material Handling
- Confined Space
- CPR/AED/First Aid
- Rail Safety
- Valid Driver’s License
- TWIC Card
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, bend, twist, push, pull, climb ladders, lift 50lbs or more.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Proficiency taking and uploading photos.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
- Work in all types of weather conditions; outside for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in typical office environment.
- Ability to work in typical warehouse environment.
