About the Role
This paid summer internship program is offered to undergraduate students, primarily rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. The 10 week program combines work experience, technical skill- building and professional development. We focus on verbal and written communication, creative thinking, work ethic, teamwork, networking, decision-making, and flexibility, problem-solving, critical-thinking and conflict resolution. The internship is offered to those who are first in their family to attend college and/or those under-represented in the investment business. Our goal is to provide a deep learning experience for deeply curious, high-achieving students who have not historically had exposure or access to the investment management industry.
Job Responsibilities
Update and maintain regular reports used by members of the Investment Team
Prepare presentation materials, manipulate data, and present findings for team investment discussions and decision making.
Assist with ad hoc requests for special projects and prospect/client related inquiries
Attend team meetings and assist with follow-ups – providing reports and/or meeting minutes
Assist Team members with timely projects focused on market analysis, relative value in the market, or current economic analysis and trend
Qualifications & Education Requirements
GPA of 3.0 or above
US Reserves or US Military Veteran
Strong academic credentials with an interest in business, finance or economics
Interested in learning about markets, with some basic understanding of investing
Self-starter, capable of monitoring and meeting deadlines
Ability to multi-task, but remain detail-oriented and produce accurate work
Dependable, team player who understands the value of good communication skills
A positive approach and flexible attitude
Strong computer skills and comfort in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, specifically creating graphs and charts using Excel and PowerPoint
