JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Experience: Current Pharmacist License in Massachusetts (Must be in good standing)
Education: B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm D. with retail management preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Professionalism- Presents self in a professional manner with regards to behavior, telephone courtesy, professional dress, identification, and communication with colleagues.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pharmacy technicians and other employees and assume responsibility for other duties related to personnel.
- Comply with all 340B regulations as they apply to pharmacy organization.
- Manage rejected claims, conduct gross margin analysis and generate reports for management.
- Participate in clinic committee and staff meetings.
- Assume all operation responsibilities including financial performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and members of the clinic staff.
- Fill new prescriptions and refills of medications using various forms of compliance packaging.
- Medication ordering and maintenance of appropriate inventory controls within the pharmacy.
- Within the guidelines of the authorized protocol, manage patient assistance program medications to patients of the clinic, if required.
- As primary contact between the pharmacy and the clinic, maintain excellent relations with the medical director, case managers and other clinic staff, and provide drug consultation services when required.
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
- Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
- Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence that relates to work.
- Consults with staff prescribers on the use, characteristics, and effects of medications.
- Provide leadership for employees to experience training opportunities related to quality improvement.
- Integrate department/workgroup improvement initiatives with Lowell Community Health Center system-wide projects and strategic aims.
- Performs all and any additional duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work is in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting.
- Transition between walking, standing and sitting.
- Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects.
- Travel as deemed appropriate.
