Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician II role is responsible for inspecting, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position is responsible for following specifications, reading prints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, and measuring and testing instruments. The Maintenance Technician will adjust equipment as needed, while partnering with other team members to deliver maintenance solutions for the assigned plant.

Essential Job Functions

Inspects, installs, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains manufacturing equipment (mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical) in the plant. Interacts and navigates the maintenance work order system, related processes and people, to directly and timely complete repairs and preventative maintenance. Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities throughout the shift. Completes assigned advancement training and continuing education requirements as needed. Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments. Ability to work and interact well with others.

Job Qualifications

Education: Associate degree or certification in a maintenance related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment if degreed/certified; minimum of 5 years of experience if non-degreed/non-certified.

Required Skills

• Intermediate PC skills.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to observe, listen and analyze operating machines.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Is already or willing to become Flash Arc certified within 6 months of hire.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• HVAC knowledge.
• PLC programming/troubleshooting.
  
  

SPECIAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work on concrete surface all day and travel length of facility at brisk pace routinely throughout day. Warehouse work environment which may be impacted by moderate to extreme temperature changes and varying noise levels. Occasional climbing.
