Job Purpose
To assist in pressing operations in an OSB facility.
In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Clean and maintain equipment at forming distribution, forming bunkers, forming orientation rolls, forming line and preloader (two times per shift)
- Clean and maintain equipment at loader, press and unloader (three times per shift)
- Complete required press pit fire prevention rounds
- Changes filters at aspiration hoods (2 times shift)
- Assist maintenance personnel with down time events
- Lock-out/Tag-out equipment as needed for maintenance repair
- Relieves Press operator for breaks and absences
- Collects moisture analysis verification samples from forming line
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 3 – 6 months experience.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
