JOB SUMMARY
The Ladies Professional Golf Association is currently seeking a part time FM Championship Volunteer Services Intern. You’ll join a driven and dynamic team of individuals in executing this world-class sporting event responsible for bringing professional Golf back to New England. As a Volunteer Services Intern, you will be responsible for the management and execution of the FM Championship’s volunteer program. You will serve as the main point of contact for 400 volunteers who are key to ensuring that our event is run flawlessly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as main contact for 400 event volunteers
- Manage recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers as well as the online volunteer database for scheduling management and communication plans
- Oversee Volunteer HQ set up, including F&B, and volunteer services
- Assist with community events and local outreach
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability and willingness to gain expertise and perform work in new areas.
- Proficient in written and oral communication to effectively coordinate and manage Tournament logistics.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Flexibility to assist with areas of the Tournament as needed.
- Collaborative nature, demonstrating enthusiasm for all tasks and projects.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be currently enrolled as a college/graduate student. Recent grads will also be considered.
- Progress toward a degree, major, or minor relevant to the internship.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Available to work in Boston, Massachusetts from June 3 – September 6
