Currently, we are seeking an Advanced Human Resources Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

General Characteristics:

The Human Resources Analyst will collect and research information related to jobs, personnel issues and costs that affect MDA. The HR analysts will use the human resource information system (HRIS) to manage data more efficiently and accurately.

Human Resources Analyst Requirements:

  • Capable of leading and executing analytical tasks, utilizing both analytical techniques and processes to support administration, communication, operations management, and event planning for both technical and administrative support HR activities
  • Support implementation of federal HR operations, and developing policies, processes, and procedures as applicable to the Agency's workforce
  • Support planning, execution, and implementation of personnel responsibilities for integrating HR programs and procedures among functional areas
  • Support performance management activities
  • Provide HR program management support and communications
  • Research, review, and propose revisions to HR policy, program documents, supporting factsheets, processes, standard operating procedures, etc.
  • Review and edit personnel award nominations, maintain the related calendar, and plan and execute support for the annual civilian awards ceremony
  • Collect, interpret, and present human capital data, including human capital strategy and workforce planning, operations research analysis, and HR systems, data and information analysis

Human Resources Analyst Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in related field with 7 (seven) years of relevant experience; 9 (nine) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • The Qualified candidate must have a DoD Secret Clearance, with MDA experience preferred
  • Specialized HR knowledge and capable of working independently or leading teams to solve problems and capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams
  • Federal and or DoD Human Resources experience
  • Proficient in standards, principles, practices, and processes related to Federal Human Resources
  • Possess knowledge and experience relating to DoD and major Personnel related programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Knowledge of military manpower, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and experience working with web development and analytical tools such as QLIK preferred
  • HR professional certifications preferred
