The Quality Control Lab Intern will aid in fast-tracking the validation of new lab instruments. The intern will work within the instrumentation analysis lab and will learn and practice lab instrument operation and calibration training, sample analysis training, statistical analysis, and instrument maintenance. The intern’s main project will be assisting with the commissioning and validation of new XRF and Eltra instrument systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the corrective action investigation process. Learn the 8D approach to corrective action investigation and work with teams to strengthen their progress.
Learn and utilize data analysis skills that will lead to overall improvement for monitoring the Quality Management System.
Participate in daily Quality Management team meetings
Lead your presentation of information as required.
Transfer data from Microsoft teams into the SharePoint system.
Assist in other quality projects as required.
Receive quality management system training.
Required Skills/Abilities:
College Chemistry Major
Basic experience with Word, Excel, and Chrome
Finished courses: Chemistry I & II, Algebra I & II, Statistics
Minimum of two Chemistry labs completed
Must have an overall GPA >3.0
Good organizational and communication skills
