Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lot Porter to join our team at Luxury Collision Group. As a Lot Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our lot, shop, and parts inventory, ensuring vehicles and equipment are properly arranged, and assisting with vehicle movement and preparation. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our customers and supporting the operations of the collision center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move and park vehicles in designated lot and shop areas as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized lot, shop, and parts storage area by picking up trash, ensuring clear paths, and arranging vehicles and parts for easy access
- Assist with vehicle delivery, check-in, and preparation for customer pick-up
- Perform basic vehicle inspections (e.g., tire pressure, cleanliness) and report any concerns to management
- Help with vehicle inventory management and ensure all vehicles are properly labeled
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed
- Support service and sales teams with vehicle retrieval or drop-off
- Assist in washing and detailing vehicles as needed
- Ensure all vehicles are safely parked and locked
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area, including managing tools and equipment
- Assist with organizing and keeping parts and boxes neatly stored and cataloged
- Ensure parts and materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible for technicians
Required Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a lot porter or similar position is a plus
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including manual transmission, is required
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with customer vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups
- Support the repair departments with vehicle movement for repairs
- Maintain and organize parts inventory, ensuring parts are in good condition and stored safely
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by management
