Lydian Academy's Menlo Park and Burlingame campuses are immediately hiring for compassionate, flexible, and open-minded educators with subject matter expertise. We are seeking teachers who can teach multiple of the following subjects, with priority consideration given for teachers who can teach both math and science, high levels of math, biology, physics, and/or AP levels: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Multivariable Calc, Statistics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology.

A Day in the Life of a Lydian Teacher
- Work with students one-on-one to provide rigorous, individualized, and differentiated instruction.
- Personalize curriculum and teaching strategies for students with diverse academic backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles (from students with learning differences to students completing advanced courses.)
- Foster confidence, curiosity, and executive functioning skills throughout the coursework.
- Plan daily lessons, based on a core curriculum, that align with student interests, goals, and abilities.
- Establish clear learning objectives, and assess students based on rubrics to make sure they are meeting the learning objectives set forth.
- Keep accurate, timely, and transparent records, such as grades and weekly progress reports.
- Through clear communication and interpersonal interactions, maintain a warm, safe, and engaging school environment of mutual respect.
- Make learning conversational, hands-on, active, interactive, and fun!
- Collaborate with colleagues and continue to grow professionally in quarterly all-staff development days and monthly department meetings.
- Contribute to Lydian culture by adding your own unique talents and interests to our close-knit school community (for example, lead a club, chaperone a field trip, or contribute to our curriculum resources.)
- Maintain a sense of humor and nonjudgmental attitude as you help adolescents navigate their educational and personal journeys to adulthood.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (graduate degree and/or teaching credential preferred)
- At least one year of teaching and/or tutoring experience (at least two years of experience working with middle or high school students preferred)
- Subject matter expertise
