DescriptionThis position will provide general technical and administrative assistance to the Technical Operations department. Lynden Air Cargo is a US part 121 all-cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. Lynden Air Cargo conducts operations within Alaska as well as other locations around the world, utilizing its fleet of L382 Hercules aircraft. ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Assist the Technical Operations department with administrative tasks and other miscellaneous duties.Research or enter information on the computer to aid Technical Operations, inquire on or update policy and procedures or standard operating practices, facilitate replies to internal customers.Assist in the Company’s paperless initiatives by using various software and equipment to scan or convert documents into an organized workflow for easy retrieval and review. Support the implementation of a paperless cockpit using commercial software applications on windows and iOS devices managed via mobile device management software.Responsible for web-based work, and the use of software tools such as, Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL Server, and Btrieve databases, along with MS Expression, Crystal Reports, Excel, SharePoint Enterprise features, SharePoint Designer and other web-based query tools.Assist with projects on an as-needed basis such as organizing information, presenting information, creating, revising and standardizing documents, working on company’s SharePoint sites and webserver, developing training modules or training documentation, etc.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to speak clearly and produce quality written communications. Ability to effectively present information to individuals or small groups. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
