Position Type: Remote/Contract/Hourly


Position Overview: The Editorial Assistant will play a crucial role in the development and execution of editorial content for our INFINITE MONKEYS franchise. Reporting to the Senior Editor, this position requires a proactive individual with a passion for storytelling, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will assist in the research, writing, and editing processes, ensuring that all content aligns with our brand's vision and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Content Development and Support: Assist the editorial team in brainstorming, developing, and refining content ideas for various media formats, including scripts, articles, social media posts, and promotional materials. Conduct thorough research on relevant topics, trends, and audience interests to inform content creation and ensure accuracy.


2. Writing and Editing: Draft, edit, and proofread written materials, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to the franchise's style guide. Collaborate with writers and other team members to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.


3. Project Management: Track project timelines and deliverables, assisting with scheduling and coordinating editorial meetings and deadlines. Maintain organized records of all editorial content, including drafts, feedback, and revisions.


4. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and design, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and alignment on projects. Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance the development process.


5. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining the editorial calendar, managing submissions, and archiving completed projects. Prepare and distribute meeting notes and other documentation as needed.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.

- 1-2 years of experience in editorial, publishing, or content creation roles, preferably within the media or entertainment industry.

- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong command of grammar and style.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing tools.

- Strong research abilities, with a knack for synthesizing information and identifying key insights.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

- A collaborative mindset with effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of current media trends and audience engagement strategies.
