Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Lead Receptionist to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing front desk operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and supporting administrative tasks within our office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting in order to assist in supporting functions of the hospital. Candidate will work directly under the Practice Manager and must maintain relationships with other teams within our hospital.
Duties
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls with professionalism and courtesy.
- Supervise, train, and coach junior reception staff to ensure high standards of service and efficiency.
- Schedule staff to optimize workflow.
- Ensure that all office supplies are stocked and maintained for daily operations as well as marketing material and promotional items.
- Implement effective time management strategies to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ensure your team is following protocols, cleaning schedules, and completing daily assignments and duties in a timely fashion.
- Provide feedback and coaching to your team.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with your team and other teams/team leads in the hospital.
Experience
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a veterinary setting is required.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including familiarity with office software and scheduling systems.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in clerical duties within an office environment is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
