MAG Areospace is Hiring an Acquisition Specialist Near Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Position Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team in the early stages of a newly awarded 5-year task order with multiple opportunities for upward advancement supporting EW&C (Electronic Warfare and Cyber). The EW&C program delivers critical capabilities to counter current and future threats, enabling the next generation of warfighting capabilities from sensor to Soldier worldwide. By applying game changing cyber technologies through agile development methodology, we enable battlefield dominance for our Warfighters.

MAG Aerospace is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to participate in the formulation, justification, and execution of contracts and acquisition documentation. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and develop documentation for contract actions, milestone decisions, and reviews
  • Assist in developing obligation plans, P&R Forms, Weapon System Reviews, and Program Objective Memoranda
  • Provide advice for program/budget scheduling and planning, including preparing recommendations for program objectives, operating schedules, and resource requirements
  • Assist government clients in managing contract actions, contract strategy planning, and coordinating contracting schedules
  • Development of Acquisition Requirements Package (ARP) / Request for Services Contract Approval (RSCA) documentation for future contracts, Task Orders, Delivery Orders and Other Transactional Authority (OTA) as well as supporting Justifications/Approvals (J&As) package development
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • US Citizenship 
  • Progressive experience in the DoD 5000 acquisition process, supporting the development and implementation of contracts and all acquisition related documentation
  • Knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of federal contracting and the DoD 5000 acquisition process
  • Familiarity with the Procurement Planning Management Tool (PPMT), contract documentation requirements, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) as well as service focused contracts, Other Transactional Authority (OTA) contract vehicles and experience with Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE)

The minimum years of related experience required:

  • 8 years

Education

The minimum level of education required is: 

  • BS in Business or IT. 4 years of additional experience can be considered for equivalency

Clearance

  •  TS DoD Security Clearance required; Secret may apply but must be TS/SCI eligible

Desired Requirements

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:

  • Experience as government or SETA within a program management office for the acquisition of EW or other tactical C4ISR programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to including the ability to work on multi-functional teams
  • TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance

Other Qualifications

Physical requirements for the job include:

  • Ability to work within an office environment.
