OVERVIEW: The Juice Machine Operator is a role that contributes to all production related areas and functions within the juice operation. This role encompasses hands on production duties, as well as daily administrative duties for process control and record keeping. Additionally, this role has potential for team leadership opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Adjust machine components, tension, pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
- Operating all production related equipment (Press, Pasteurizer, Filler and Bottling Line) and completing/maintaining process related documentation to support these operations
- Inspect, clean and assemble equipment.
- Coordinate the startup activities of the area including safety, quality, and food safety inspection of fruit scheduled to be processed.
- Daily auditing of the cleaning, inspections and 5s organization of the area. Teach and provide direction to employees to meet requirements.
- Assist with audit preparation as necessary
- Facility and machine preventative maintenance as required.
- Inspect and prepare produce for processing
- Load ingredients into the mixer following the product recipe, procedures and guidelines to complete continuous batches
- Work with Maintenance Department to help troubleshooting and complete minor repairs to equipment
- Assists in Monitoring raw material and packaging inventories to ensure adequate supply and freshness (rotation) to support production requirements.
- Demonstrate efficient communication skills with all levels of organization to ensure order-fill process.
- Empty all trash and other waste that is created
- Assist in retrieving product for production
- Taking pH and Brix reading of the juice
- Programming inkjet printer for labeling
- Printing labels for cases of juice
- Ensuring counts of raw materials used and continuing these counts to finished product
- Prepare repacks of juice being created
- Picking orders for sales orders
- Assisting in monitoring finished product inventory and rotations
- Keep production and packaging areas clean and tidy
- Work with Manager on all tasks deemed necessary
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in a production environment; produce industry a plus but not required
- Strong mechanical
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately handle out-of-the-ordinary issues with a sense of urgency.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee may be exposed to extreme cold (non-weather). The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level of the work environment is usually loud.
