Management Solutions is seeking a Project Management Associate to support our OCED team. OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $27B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. This position will also support Management Solutions corporate Project Management Office.

The Project Management Associate will be responsible for the following:
- Draft independent engineering / due diligence reports on evaluated technologies.
- Able to draft a data table and risk table (as part of an independent engineering / due diligence report or otherwise).
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication – communicating succinctly and clearly.
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders when providing engineering expertise (e.g., clients, technology providers, other engineering disciplines).
- Supports client in delivering project on-time and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong client and project team relationships for the success of projects; interface with customer at project meetings.
- Perform effective teamwork among functional teams (management, engineering, and quality teams) and provide day to day direction for core team on assigned projects.
- Responsible for implementation of PM principles/practices on a project or system.
- Develop tools, methods, techniques, guidelines and templates for implementation ofstandardized project management practices.
- Ensure compliance with project related processes related to finance, human resources, contracts, quality assurance, and other related operations.
- Responsible for planning and monitoring for small to mid-level projects in the life cycle phases of the startup, interim and close out.
- Track project resource needs and contingency plans for key resources.
- Work with project team on planning portfolio of project.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on targets and updates
- Collect and analyze project performance data to support reporting on project health
What you will need…
- US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident status (due to the nature of client engagements)
- Bachelor's degree in Science
- Excellent communication, client-management, and people skills
- High degree of self-confidence and determination
- Advanced organizational and management skills
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities and assignments without diminished effectiveness
- Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and slide presentation software
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work individually, as part of a team, or leading a team
- Reviewing and at times preparing and delivering reports, presentations and other documents for client deliverables
Location:
- The position will have a hybrid schedule of remote work and at least 1-2 days per week onsite in Knoxville, TN
