POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Cleaning Specialist at our Y intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined while also impacting the maintenance and improvement of YMCA facilities and properties.

JOB DUTIES and Qualifications:

• Clean cardio equipment, free weight equipment, cycling room and yoga studio
• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping in workout rooms
• Carry out special cleaning projects
• Have the ability to work independently following cleaning rotation schedule
• Refill sanitizing supplies designated for member use
• Gather, fold and refill towel bins throughout building
• Models good teamwork and positive relationship-building skills in all interactions with members and employees
