What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, MKV position at Maple Knoll Communities?
Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community, located in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a full-time compassionate RN Staff Nurse to add to our nursing team! We’re currently looking for a full-time day shift (7a-730p). The pay range for this position is $38.00- $44.00 per hour. Pay is based off prior experience. There is a $2.00 shift differential for night shift starting at 7p.
We are also looking for nurses to be apart of our on-call rotation. Being on-call, you have the possibility of working days and nights. To be available, your committed weekend starts on Friday at 7p, through Monday ending at 7a. Each on-call rotation is guaranteed $200.00 per weekend. If required to work that weekend, base pay will increase to $43.0 per hour, in addition to the $200.
As RN Staff Nurse your responsibilities include but are not limited to, coordination of admissions, transfer, and discharge processes. Inform nursing personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. Consider problems with vision, hearing, mobility, etc. when communicating or working with residents. You participate in the orientation of new residents/family members to the facility, communicate with physicians appropriately and review the resident's chart for specific treatments, medication orders, diets, etc., as necessary. You make clinical rounds on unit and with MD as necessary.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a valid RN license in the State of OH or have an Active RN Multi-state license.
- Have one year of experience in a long-term care facility, preferred
- Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
- Communicate well with team members, residents, and family members.
- Must have high levels of patience and compassion for the elderly.
- Demonstrate professional excellence and customer service to residents and their families.
- Ensure that each resident receives quality care.
