Serenade Maintenance Technician Lead 3rd shift

Essential Duties:

1. Hands-on execution of work order scheduling and planning work with the maintenance team.
2. Achieve team objectives while minimizing interruptions to production operations and achieving maximum cost efficiency
3. Eliminate problems related to malfunctioning of machinery and equipment, safety hazards, facilities repair or requests to maintain operations.
4. Work daily with maintenance staff on other shifts to help coordinate departmental activities and effectively support the 24 hr demands of plant operations.
5. Interact in a professional manner with all departments as necessary.
6. Troubleshoot production problems as necessary with emphasis on reducing downtime.
7. Identify and request materials required for successful maintenance operations.
8. Monitor maintenance operation for non-conformity in processes and procedures, report inconsistencies to maintenance management.
9. Assist in training and development of existing and new employees. Help implement new processes and procedures as necessary. 
10. Responsible for harboring the proper attitude toward health and safety through demonstrated behavior, active involvement in Safety Committee initiatives, and as a Maple Leaf emergency first responder team member.
11. Assist in collection, filing and distribution of maintenance work orders, reports and paperwork.
12. Perform other related work, including overtime work, as required or assigned.

Job Specifications:

Requires working knowledge of production equipment, operational processes and production standard operational procedures.  Demonstrated ability in communication skills.

Skills And Abilities:

• Ability to manage subordinate maintenance staff.
• Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical problems for production and other plant equipment, and consult with Maintenance Department when necessary.
• Ability to read and understand technical information, work orders, and labels.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees.
• Working knowledge of standard operating procedures including, but not limited to, USDA guidelines, OSHA requirements, HAACP guidelines, GMPs, quality specifications, employee handbook, and company policies.
