Maplecrest Ford of Mendham is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic automotive sales consultant to join our team. As a sales consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping customers find the perfect vehicle that meets their needs while fostering long-term relationships.
You will join a dedicated staff where the average tenure for our current sales team is over 10 years, adding to a culture of consistency and very little turnover. Applicants should be customer-oriented and enjoy working in a team environment.

Responsibilities
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their automotive needs.
• Demonstrate vehicles and explain features, benefits, and financing options to potential buyers.
• Conduct test drives with customers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the dealership's inventory, including new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Utilize effective sales techniques to close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the buying process.
• Manage customer inquiries through various channels, including phone calls and in-person visits, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Conduct follow-ups with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge, refine sales skills and keep up-to-date on certifications.
• Valid driver's license
Experience
• Previous experience in automotive sales or a similar retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of retail math principles to assist with pricing and financing discussions.
• Excellent communication skills, including public speaking abilities, to effectively present vehicles to customers.
• Proven ability to build rapport with customers and maintain long-lasting relationships within the dealership context.
• Familiarity with dealership operations and inventory management is advantageous.
