We Require
Four years of post-graduate clinical experienceValid, unrestricted license issued by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Arizona or eligible to obtain upon hireMaster's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related fieldWe Also Value
Supervisory experienceCertification by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care as a Certified Correctional Health ProfessionalExperience with triaging internal and external referralsExperience with coordinating the completion of Mental Health Petitions with community providers and testifying in courtBilingual skills in Spanish and EnglishJob Contributions
Optimizes and oversees patient care and service delivery through the development and implementation of policies and clinical practice guidelinesFacilitates training for mental health staff regarding processes, policies, and protocols associated with technology, documentation, correctional safety standards, and National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) standardsEngages mental health staff in professional and clinical skills development, acquisition of continuing education units, performance goal setting, and accountability for progressCollaborates with Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), CHS departments, Mental Health Managers, Community Clinic representatives, and administration regarding the entire continuum of patient safety and healthProvides direct clinical care during staff absences if necessary and engages the support of colleagues as needed when barriers to service provision ariseProvides guidance and support for all assigned licensed and unlicensed mental health staff through regular clinical supervisionParticipates with colleagues in ongoing program development, enhancement and expansion of services, and change initiative managementCooperates with human resources in the recruitment, selection, and training of new staffFacilitates and documents team meetings with the standards set by NCCHCCoordinates staff schedules and attendance; reviews, approves, and submits biweekly employee timesheetsProblem-solves complex situations and emergenciesWorking Conditions
