We are located in beautiful Marin County, on the pastoral 700-acre Hicks Valley Ranch, 15 min drive from downtown Petaluma & 10 min drive from Novato. Our cheese shop is a high traffic shop where people come to discover our cheese and enjoy lunch or a picnic with family and friends.
We are looking for a friendly, customer service focused team member to join our amazing Retail team! The right fit for this position will have some experience in food handling, working in a kitchen prepping food, and providing high-level customer service.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Prepare food for our cafe customers
- Provide friendly and accurate service to our guests
- Maintain cheese display & hand out samples of cheese
- Participate in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Participate in maintaining a clean work environment
- Educating our guests about the world of cheese and cheesemaking
- Maintain high standards of excellent service, stock shelves & refrigerators
- Be fast, friendly, and accurate in every customer interaction
- Take customer orders
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other food in our café for customers as instructed
- Ability to use TurboChef for heating sandwiches and other foods
- Package prepared tossed salads and side salads as instructed
- Maintaining the grab and go cooler stocked and rotating as needed
- Ability to use a meat slicer
- Proficiency in knife cutting skills – vegetables, bread, and cheese
- Strong food organizing skills
- Ability to prepare espressos, soft serves, and heat bakery goods
- Assist in creating charcuterie boards and snack packs
- Maintain a clean kitchen workspace
- Cleaning all necessary food appliances: TurboChef, soft serve machine, espresso machine, meat slicer
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Assist in creating new dishes for the café
- Ability to sweep and mop kitchen area
