Role Purpose:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance function at the Hillside, NJ brewery. This position will set direction, and goals, ensure compliance, and provide leadership for the entire plant maintenance organization. The Maintenance Manager will lead a diverse team of maintenance technicians, planners, schedulers, and reliability engineers to meet plant KPIs while leading and maintaining the utmost safety standards. The maintenance manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance budget while implementing a world-class maintenance program to include predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance items.
Accountabilities & Impact:
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards by the maintenance organization.
- Collaborate with the EHS manager and plant safety team to improve safety programs and instill a culture of safety among the maintenance team
- Oversee and support the professional development of the maintenance team members; motivate, coach, and develop a diverse, high-performing, and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability.
- Manage all required training programs for the maintenance team to ensure 100% required training completion
- Provide developmental training
- Manage labor costs as efficiently as possible relative to demands upon the department, using the budget to remain within financial parameters.
- Set and maintain individual KPI metrics for maintenance team members
- Ensure repair consistency by leading the SOP creation effort for the department
- SOP creation for the department with consistency
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure effective use of all EAM and CMMS programs
- Compliance with all Safety rules
Skills & Experiences Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University preferred (Engineering or related field of study).
- 10 years of experience in a Maintenance Management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to motivate a team and lead change throughout an organization
- Knowledge of TPM / Maintenance Excellence programs including Asset Management, Breakdown Analysis, FMEA, and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
- Understanding of financial systems and controls – including the ability to analyze budget and cost data, determine trends, and apply corrective actions to achieve desired financial goals.
