GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Top Management the Level III Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the NDT Quality Control Plan and System
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and calibrate testing equipment.
- Prepares parts for testing per documented standards
- Generate and maintain in-house NDT procedures
- Generate and maintain NDT technique sheets
- Support NADCAP Management Representative.
- Develop, control and provide maintenance for all NDT Quality Programs/Plans.
- Conducts assigned internal audits of departments to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Suggests methods for improving Product Quality through creation of standard work.
- Provides Quality technical and administrative support for In-house and supplier Quality Control.
- Conducts trainings for Level I and Level II technicians
- Coordinate response to customer quality notifications; utilizing root cause and analysis tools, and implementing corrective actions
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure compliance to customer specifications.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Competency Requirements and Skills:
- Understanding of manufacturing and Quality control in a production setting.
- Experience with RCCA, DIVE, 8D Problem solving.
- Experience with Quality Systems maintenance – NADCAP - ISO/AS9100 compliance.
- Ability to create and maintain procedures and work instructions.
- Strong organization and ability to plan.
- Training as NADCAP or ISO/AS9100 auditor.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Capable of making presentations to customers or professional peers.
- Blue print reading and comprehension and experience with geometric tolerance.
- Must apply knowledge of product Quality to decision making.
- Confer with vendors to determine product specifications of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Communicate with customer to resolve engineering issues related to manufacturing processes, drawings, and specifications.
- Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, product design, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Evaluate manufacturing process flow of routing through production cells, in-process and final inspection.
- Must be computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office 365 Products
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a minimum NDT Level II Certified per IAW NAS 410 with enough accumulated hours to test for Level III – Ideal candidate will have their Level III certification
- B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred
- 5 years’ experience in NDT inspection and production of product in the aerospace/automotive manufacturing industry.
- Ideal candidate will have 1 years’ experience in a decision making, Quality Engineering position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This work position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility.
- While performing duties of the job, the employee is frequently working near moving mechanical parts, chemicals and electricity.
SAFETY:

- Wear the Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
