- Assortment Planning: Develop and execute seasonal and annual assortment plans based on market trends, customer preferences, margin goals and historical data.
- Catalog and Web Planning Analysis: Manage catalog and online exclusive product planning, including selection, layout, and analysis of effectiveness to optimize assortment for both offline and online sales channels.
- Vendor Meetings/Communications: Maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate product cost, terms, and collaborate on product development and exclusives.
- Pricing: Implement pricing strategies to achieve sales and margin goals, conducting regular competitive analysis and adjusting prices according to category guidelines.
- Financial Analysis (High Level): Analyze sales trends, monitor inventory levels, and forecast demand to inform purchasing decisions.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term strategic planning initiatives to achieve growth and profitability targets.

- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues related to product availability, quality, or pricing.
- Internal Meetings: Participate in cross-functional meetings with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align on business objectives and strategies.
- Item Set Up (Smartsheets): Ensure accurate and timely setup of new products in internal systems (e.g., Smartsheets)
- Emails/Communications: Manage communications with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers to ensure clarity and alignment on merchandising strategies.
- Personal Development: Continuously enhance industry knowledge and skills through training, workshops, and networking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or related field.
- Experience in apparel buying, merchandising or retail preferred.
- Product development experience preferred
- Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines.
