Job Description
It is the responsibility of person in this position to perform routine and preventative maintenance, repair and cleaning of buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. May also assist in gathering and distributing all interoffice mail and supplies that are to be sent to the branches, and with the use of a company vehicle, distribute said items to the branches in addition to various maintenance duties as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
• Performs minor repairs of all buildings and equipment.
• Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, repairs and replaces broken windows.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.
• Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps.
• Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects.
• Assembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletin boards, moves and sets up tables and chairs.
• Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.
• Paints interior and exterior walls.
• May repair locks to maintain building security.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
• Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Required to have and maintain valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle with manual gear shift (stick shift).
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good skill in the use of hand and power tools and appropriate safety protocol.
• Flexibility with scheduling (late nights, weekends, last minute notice, etc.).
• Must have no physical limitations to prevent:
o Lifting of cartons or equipment. Must be able to individually lift 50 lbs
o Use of a hand truck or similar equipment
o Climbing of a ladder
o Performance of various maintenance duties
