What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time, tenure-track International Maritime Business Faculty position at Massachusetts Maritime Academy?
General Responsibilities
Massachusetts Maritime Academy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Business beginning Fall 2025. The position is a 4/4 teaching load that includes teaching college-level business courses from introductory to advanced levels.
- Teach an academic course load of 12 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) of college-level courses within the International Maritime Business Department. The department’s curriculum may be viewed on the website of Massachusetts Maritime Academy: https://www.maritime.edu/undergraduate-programs/international-maritime-business/curriculum
- Engage in curriculum development and improvement.
- Participate in various academic committees in support of the Department and the Academy.
- Participate in International Maritime Business Department Experiential Learning Programs.
- Serve as an academic advisor to assigned student advisees.
- Serve as a co-op advisor to assigned student advisees.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A terminal degree in Business, Management or related field and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Marketing, Management, Organizational Behavior, Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Information Technology or a related field.
- Ideal candidate will be a scholar with interdisciplinary interests and excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and research.
- Willingness to contribute to the growth of the International Maritime Business department.
