Pay rate:  

                             : $42/hr on w2 hourly (no other benefits).

OR

W2 rate: $40/hr with benefit medical insurance, 401K enrollment (4% match).

Job Title: Communications Specialist

Overview

This role provides communications support for dashboards managed by the TEA Educator Data, Research, and Strategy Division. These dashboards are designed to offer data insights for continuous improvement in educator preparation programs (EPPs) and local education agencies (LEAs).

Key Responsibilities

1. Dashboard Communications Support
   • Develop and deliver communications for dashboards launched in April 2023, focusing on EPPs.
   • Create content for newsletters, emails, and webinars to inform stakeholders about:
     • Candidate progression
     • Hiring trends
     • Retention metrics
2. End-User Support
   • Draft written materials to assist dashboard end-users in understanding and utilizing data effectively.
3. TalentED Dashboard Support
   • Support pre-production and post-launch communication efforts for TalentED Dashboards, which provide LEAs with actionable insights on teacher hiring and retention.
   • Communicate updates on development progress and other relevant information to LEAs.
4. Additional Communication Tasks
   • Periodically address communication and marketing requests for other division projects related to educator data and strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong writing and content development skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with education-related data and reporting systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
