About the Role
The Intermodal Customer Service Assistant provides support and assistance to the intermodal service team in the performance of the movement of freight (loads).
What you'll do :
- Obtain necessary or required documentation from vendors, customers, or service providers.
- Review invoice accuracy, completeness, required attachments, and fuel service charges (FSC's).
- Maintain the Invoice Hold Report to ensure timely submission of invoices to customers.
- Enter loads in database with a minimum of in gate on a daily basis.
- Respond to and is accountable for the Databased Not Invoiced Over 10 days Report; escalate any invoice outstanding over 23 days to immediate supervisor for assistance; provides weekly reports to accounting regarding any invoices outstanding over 30 days.
- Print and distribute daily payment exception report forms (PERF's); assist intermodal team with research, resolution, and response as needed.
- Maintain and perform daily filing of load information obtained from intermodal team, sales, and vendors.
- Perform or assist personnel with tracing loads by calling on deliveries and empty containers.
- Assist customer service personnel by monitoring the movement of freight to ensure timeliness of freight transfers and deliveries.
- Provide regular status reports of shipments in progress to customers as needed or required.
- Comply with all company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Work and behave safely by following all safety rules and regulations.
- Assist with investigation, research, and responses to discrepancies between actual and "Profile" invoicing as requested.
- Assist with "Pool Management" and equipment procurement, as needed.
- Perform any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $38,000 - $45,000. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
