Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Lead recruitment strategies to attract top talent and reduce time-to-fill for open positions.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions;
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Design and implement effective onboarding processes to enhance employee retention.
- Manages employee training and development programs, assessing effectiveness and identifying needs for improvement.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
- Contribute to the performance management process, including tracking performance reviews and providing support to managers.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR-related inquiries and assist in resolving employee relations issues.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state labor laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations in multiple states.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- SHRM certification a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Able to travel at least 15% of the time to other offices.
